Collection: Beaujolais

At Cellars, we hold a special place in our hearts for Beaujolais, an underrated wine region synonymous with lively, fruit-forward wines and passionate winemakers. One of our all-time favourites is Jean Foillard from Morgon, whose exceptional wines beautifully encapsulate the spirit of this region.

Jean Foillard is a celebrated figure in Beaujolais. His approach to winemaking is rooted in traditional practices and a deep respect for the land. Foillard’s wines are crafted with minimal intervention, allowing the natural characteristics of the Gamay grape to shine through. The result is wines that are complex, and wonderfully expressive.

But Beaujolais is more than just Morgon and Jean Foillard. The primary grape variety here is Gamay, which produces wines that are typically light-bodied, fruity, and highly drinkable. From the youthful exuberance of Beaujolais Nouveau to the more structured and age-worthy Crus like Morgon, Moulin-à-Vent, and Fleurie, there is a Beaujolais wine for every palate.
