Classic Bordeaux with a twist! Domaine Valmengaux are making organically grown grapes in the heart of Bordeaux and ageing them in clay amphora, giant clay pots. 

Amphora have become a bit of a trend in modern fine-winemaking, but have yet to be adopted en masse in this traditional region. Wines aged in Amphora take on a smooth and juicy texture relative to those aged in traditional oak barrells.

This is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet from the excellent 2018 vintage.
