Four Bottles of world-class Gamay
The first edition of Gamay gang flew out the door, so we've re-loaded it with a new line-up. A couple of these wines are super-limited, don't sleep!
If you've ever been to Cellars, you'll know we love Beaujolais and its wonderful expressions of the Gamay Grape. Rich, perfumed, and full of interest, yet light and lithe, and always refreshing - these wines demonstrate what Gamay is capable of; that perfect balance between complexity and freshness that always leaves us wanting more.
Tisane de Bois Tordu, La Dernier Goutte
21.00 > 18.90
Juicy and structured with just a hint of the wild side  - a perfect take on natural Gamay. This is labeled as a Vin de France, but the grapes are sourced from a single plot of old vines within the Brouilly appellation of Beaujolais.
Beaujolais villages, Alex Foillard
22.00 > 19.80
Alex is the Son of Legendary Beaujolais producer, Jean Foillard. He started making wine at his own Domaine in 2016, at the humble age of 24. With this 2019 Alex is firmly in his stride and clearly producing a range of incredible wines. The wines are very much in the vein of his father, with incredibly pure fruit and great concentration. Although labeled as a Beaujolais Villages, this is from a single vineyard Saint Ennemond. This is surely one the finest wines available in the Villages Appellation.
Trait Gamay, Remi Sedes
25.00 > 22.50
Powerful, complex, Gamay. Intense bright concentrated cherry fruit backed up with some serious tannic structure. Remi Sedes is a Loire Gamay specialist working small parcels of vines in Coteaux d’Ancenis, and is a core part of the Loire natural wine scene.
Ext' Hase, Jean Max
26.00 > 23.40
Jean Max is an exciting young talent making wines in the south of Beaujolais. After wine school, he cut his teeth with Domaine La Soufrandière and worked a vintage with natural wine pioneer Yvon Métras. The wine is on the lighter side for Gamay with incredibly pure and pretty fruit, lovely freshness, and top-drinkability factor. Get this a little chilled for ultimate refreshment. Just 1500 bottles made.
