L’Etranger, 02Y, Cellar Next Door

L’Etranger is an unconventional take on Viognier, sourced from Beaujolais but entirely its own creation. Produced by Romain Zordan of Château de Grand Pré, a winemaker renowned for his focus on biodynamic viticulture and minimal intervention, this wine reflects a deep respect for nature and an experimental spirit.

Romain lets this Viognier undergo skin maceration and ages it in large wooden vats, resulting in a wine that balances richness with tension. Aromatic bursts of citrus give way to buttery, creamy notes and a pastry-like depth.
