Riesling Loiserberg, Weingut Weszeli

A beautiful Riesling from a lovely bloke. This is dry and mineral, with classic Riesling aromas of peach and lime. It's super-fresh but there's a softness to it at the same time which give it a lovely sense of balance.

A versatile food wine, this would be at home with roast chicken, lightly spiced curry, or zesty salad.

Davis Weszeli purchased the winery in 2011 and set about a monumental change, putting much of the estate to new forests and wildlife and keenly promoting bio-diversity. Winemaking is fully organic, with biodynamic practices employed. The wines are matured in a mixture of stainless steel, and large old-oak barrels. The stainless steel retains the natural freshness of the Riesling, while the old-oak gives some weight and softness to the wine. Davis happens to be one of the most gentle and lovely winemakers we've met, and we're proud to be supporting his wonderful wines.
