Ethereal, elegant and sophisticated - this is such a winderful take on Sangiovese.

Theres an almost a pinot-like quality to the nose, with. sumptuous notes of red cherry, cloves, dried red flowers, orange peel, and spice. On the palate its more classically Sangiovese with rich texture, heaps of complexity and grippy tannin. With over 6 years ageing - this Sangiovese is really starting to sing, from Soprano to Baritone, and everything in between.

Il Borgetto are situated in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, but they make wines in their own distinctive style and dont seek the approval of the Chianti appellation. The estate farm biodynamically, and produce very limited quantities of exceptional wine.
