Although we are quite partial to some alternative bits and pieces here at Cellars, we always keep it classic for Christmas Lunch. This selection features some of France's top winemakers and the classic regions. Plus, an obligatory Port to drink with the Stilton later on.

Champagne, Domaine Jacques Picard, NV

Sensational Champagne from Domaine Jacques Picard. Super-classic in style, with notes of citrus, patisserie cream and brioche. Extended bottle-ageing gives the wine some serious character and depth. A perfect choice for an indulgent aperitif.

 Bourgogne Vezelay, Domaine la Cadette, 2022

Future-classic Burgundy from Domaine la Cadette with a mineral-driven, chablis-like core. Fresh, but with textural complexity, this is the perfect accompaniment for Turkey.

Saint Joseph 'Poivre et Sol', Francois Villard, 2019

A masterclass in Syrah, this is rich and complex as good Syrah should always be, yet with a touch of elegance and wonderful perfume. Francois Villard was a top chef before turning his hand to winemaking, needless to say this goes very well with food! 

Ten Year Tawny Port, Quinta Pedra Alta

Sublime port from Quinta da Pedra Alta. A must have with stilton or xmas pudding.
