Envinate is a young project from four friends who met studying winemaking at university.
They work in three regions across Spain with old, ancient vineyards and use traditional winemaking methods to produce some of the most beautiful, unique and energetic wines available in Spain.
We’ve chosen four of our favourites covering all the regions they produce in.These are produced in tiny quantities and are strictly limited. The wines are sure-to-be future-classics, so get involved!
WHITE
Benje Blanco, Tenerife
£28.00 > £25.20
From small high-altitude plots on Volcanic soil this is a distinctive and completely unique wine. Think of citrus and smoke with a salty and super-fresh finish. This fascinating wine is produced with grape variety Listan Blanco.
RED
Albahara, Vinos Mediterr√°neos
£19.00 > £17.10
70% Garnacha Tintorera and 30% Moravia Agria from Almansa and Manchuela, juicy and vibrant, with good structure that makes this a versatile food wine.
Lousas Viñas Aldea, Ribeira Sacra
£27.00 > £24.30
Lousas comes from vineyards over sixty years of age planted on steep slate riverbanks. This is light and delicate with notes of strawberry, spice and wonderful purity of fruit. The grape variety is Mencia, co-planted with rare grape varieties. Very pretty indeed.
T√°ganan Tinto, Tenerife
£28.00 > £25.20
T√°ganan is the old local name for this rugged vineyard area located on the north-eastern side of Tenerife, where vines are planted on primary volcanic rock on cliffs just above the Atlantic. A blend of many different native varieties, the result is a juicy and utterly drinkable red, with plenty of red fruit, spiciness and food-friendly freshness.
