Gamay Gang - Third Birthday Special!
Gamay Gang - Third Birthday Special!, Peckham Cellars
Birthday Beaujolais special!
We celebrate three years at Cellars this November, and to celebrate we welcome the return of the Gamy Gang case! We've got two absolute classics with a hint of the serious side, and two juicy numbers that highlight the vibrant fruit and ethereal freshness that only Gamay can deliver.
Fleurie 'Clos de la Roilette', Domaine Coudert - 21.00  18.90
Domaine Coudert's Fleurie is the reference point for the appellation. Floral, concentrated, spicy and very refined with good structure for Beaujolais - this is the go-to wine at cellars when a classically-styled Beaujolais is called for.
Morgon, Jean Foillard - 26.00  23.40
The Classic Morgon from one of Cellars' all-time heroes. Bright, juicy, and fresh - this has that classic Foillard quality; serious and concentrated, but at the same time utterly drinkable. Try it chilled to emphasise the drinkability, or give it some time to breathe to discover its serious side.
Marylou, Guy Breton - 26.00  23.40
This is juicy perfection! Lithe, sumptuous, and utterly drinkable - this is all about the vibrant fruit that only Gamay can deliver. This is a wine that's  completely effortless, it slips down the palate with such ease, barely a tannin in sight - it's all about that crunchy fruit and juicy freshness here. Enjoy lightly chilled - just twenty minutes or so in the fridge - for best results.
Ext' Hase, Jean Max - 26.00  23.40
Jean Max is an exciting young talent in the south of Beaujolais. After wine school, he cut his teeth with Domaine La Soufrandière and worked a vintage with natural wine pioneer Yvon Métras. The wine is on the lighter side for Gamay with incredibly pure and pretty fruit, lovely freshness, and top-drinkability factor. Get this a little chilled for ultimate refreshment. This is only Jean's second vintage with his own label, and on this evidence, we're sure these are future-classics in the making.
