Four Bottles of world-class Gamay, destined for the fridge
For the next Instalment of Gamay Gang, we've got four bottles of world-class Gamay that are perfect for the fridge.
There's a pet-nat, a rosé and two very juicy reds on the lighter side of things. All perfect for this beautiful weather!
As usual, super-limited on these, so no snoozing.
Pet-Nat Rosé, Saint Cyr
22.00 > 19.80
Lightly sparkling, light rosé colour - fresh and full of beautiful red fruits, this makes a superb aperitif to kick off a day in the park/garden/beach.
Raphael Saint Cyr is the fourth generation vigneron at the newly named Domaine Saint Cyr. Raphael took over in 2008 and immediately turned all the viticulture to organic farming.
Samplemousse Rosé, Remi Sedes
27.00 > 24.30
Fresh and really rather beautiful Gamay Rosé.
Remi Sedes is a Loire Gamay specialist working small parcels of vines in Coteaux d’Ancenis, and is a core part of the Loire natural wine scene.
Gamay Raisins Gaulois, Lapierre
16.00 > 14.40
Everyone's favourite summer smasher - Juicy cherry fruit vibes and ever-so gluggable this is one to pop in the fridge for a little before serving.
Ext' Hase, Jean Max
26.00 > 23.40
Jean Max is an exciting young talent making wines in the south of Beaujolais. After wine school, he cut his teeth with Domaine La Soufrandière and worked a vintage with natural wine pioneer Yvon Métras. The wine is on the lighter side for Gamay with incredibly pure and pretty fruit, lovely freshness, and top-drinkability factor. Get this a little chilled for ultimate refreshment. Just 1500 bottles made.
