Only good things happen at lunch. And this discovery was made over a memorable lunch at Mountain. A wine trade get-together, there were naturally some very smart bottles on the table, from top-shelf Burgundy to modern Spanish classics, and this Frontonio stood out for all of us at the table. It went down in a flash. Everyone wanted more. 

Bodegas Frontonio is a project from Fernando Mora MW and Mario Lopez. Farming old vine Garnacha in the moutains of Aaragon. The wines are pure, bright, refined and ethereal. There's detailed notes of raspberry, redcurrants, Mediterranean herbs, cardamon, crushed rocks and wet earth. Feather-light with opulent fragrance, this is one of the mont beautiful wines we've tasted from Spain and proves Fernando and Mario are working at the very top-tier of modern Spanish wine.
