Goruli Mstvane, Samtavisi's Marani
Goruli Mstvane, Samtavisi's Marani, Samtavisi's Marani
Samtavisi's Marani produce some of the most elegant wines we’ve tried from Georgia; pure and precise, with light, elegant tannins – amber wines for fine-wine lovers.
The Goruli Mstvane has a core of dried apricot and spice, with ripe golden apples, balanced by an elegant freshness. A savoury core and gentle tannin make this an ideal food wine.
Founded in 2017 by Local artists Mamuka Kikvadze and Lako Teneishvili, Samtavisi’s Marani make exceptionally fine and elegant natural wines in Kartli, slightly further east than Kakheti, the heartland of Georgian wine.
Focusing on rare local grape varieties, Chinuri and Goruli Mstvane, they use the ancient Qvevri method to raise their wines. Farming just 2 hectares, these are available only in tiny quantities.
