La Maldicion comes from an ancient, isolated parcel high up the Mountains outside of Madrid. It’s named La Maldicion – translated as ‘the curse’ – by the vineyard workers as its one of the most difficult areas to farm.
The wine is unusual in the sense that it 75% Tempranillo blended with 25% of a local white grape named Malvar. So we get the classic rich black fruit of tempranillo, and the blend of the white grape gives the wine a really juicy character. A perfect red for summer days, when you want a red that's not too light, but not too heavy.
