Epic new wine from Cellars all-time favourites, Envinate, who are doing incredible things in Ribeira Sacra, Galicia.

This is a blend of old-vine Mencia in the Doade sub-region of Ribeira Sacra - theres floral top notes, pure cherries, and lots of aromatic intensity. Its lithe, juicy with an almost endless finish. A perfection expression of these incredible slate vineyards.

I was fortunate to taste this alongside Envinate's top wine from Galaicia, Camino Novo - at a rather nice lunch - and I was not the only one at the table that thought this outperformed it. It was the star of the lunch and for me represents extraordinary value given the relative quality/price.

    Excellent service and excellent wines.
