One of my earliest wine memories was drinking rustic, spicy wine at a countryside Bistro some miles outside of Toulouse. And this wine takes me back every time, its quintessential South-West French red; rustic, spicy and earthy with red berries and dried currants. You dont get wine like this anywhere else. Proper country wine. The Grape variety is native to Marcillac and can be called either Mansois or Fer Servadou.
