This wine is full of ripe black fruit and notes of garrigues (the French term to describe the aromas of pine, and Mediterranean herbs). The ripe fruit gives way to a full and juicy palate, but with freshness and elegance to balance it.

Minervois is an extremely picturesque part of the Languedoc, close to Carcassone, and fully confirms that old adage that beautiful wines are made in beautiful places.

With the warm climate and cool winds, the Minervois is a good spot for making organic and natural wines and Jean-Baptiste Senat is one of the region's top proponents making classic wines with a modern twist.

The blend is 50% Grenache with the balance being Mourvedre and a dash of Cinsault.
