This is (we think), a first for English wine, being aged in clay Amphora. Ageing in amphora really helps to soften wines, and here the skin-contact Ortega has really wonderful soft tannins, and a soft creamy texture. Then there’s flavours of honeysuckle, mango and apricot balanced by lovely freshness and clean mineral vibes on the finish.

We’ve been following Westwell for some years and it’s wonderful to see the evolution of the wines, and the spirit and dedication of Adrian and Marcus shine through. Only 700 bottles of this were made…..limited!

    Excellent service and excellent wines.
