What a wine! And stunning value here from Portugal. There are wonderful floral notes, dark berries, damson, and lots of freshness. Really aromatic with velvet-soft tannins and a beautifully floral, lifted finish.
It is common for Touriga Nacional in this region to see quite a bit of oak, but not with this wine, here we have the raw expression of Touriga National. Antonio plays this up here in the name of the wine ‘Touriga vai Nua’, or ‘Touriga goes naked’ - Touriga in all its glory!
Given the above, the focus of this wine is all about the fruit expression, everything we taste is the result of careful farming in the vineyards, coaxed gently into the bottle in the winery.
