Four brilliant bottles showcasing the modern Spanish wine scene at its best.
Spain is rightly know for its powerhouse winemaking region, Rioja, where you can get some pretty great value bottles. But dig a little deeper and there is some really exciting stuff going on around the country with small artisan winemakers creating unique, special wines using rare native grape varieties.
Try something new with this selection made from under-the-radar grape varieties. We've two fresh and zesty whites, and two elegant Galacian reds.

Pedro Ximenez makes up the majority of this dry white wine. Better know for its part in sweet sherry, here it creates a beautifully fresh wine with a lovely saline character, notes of green apples and fresh almonds.

This mouth-watering blend of native varietals: Xarel·lo, Malvasía de Sitges, and Xarel·lo Vermell brings to mind pure citrus fruit with super zesty, stony finish. Perfect with fried seafood, sardines or boquerones.
REDS
Peixes, Peixes da Rocha, Galicia
£24.00 > £21.60
This is a light, pretty - almost ethereal - red wine from Galicia. It's made using a field blend of local varieties from ancient vineyards. There's a wonderful purity of fruit, and a real vibrancy and energy on this one. Hailing from the 2016 vintage, the wine has had a bit of time to rest and really get into its stride. Its tasting great right now!
Xanledo, Vinedos do Gabian, Galicia
£24.00 > £21.60
The Grape varieties here are Caiño Longo and Brancellao where they create a lovely floral nose and a red that's fresh, pure and very pretty indeed. Another stunner from Galicia. This is a new project from (legendary) winemaker Raul Perez's assistant.
